PARTRIDGE ( Perdix Perdix . )

Partridges are available in Romania, in optimum density in southern of the country, in the plain and hilly areas, with intensive agriculture.

Very important is that the partridge population in Romania is exclussively wild , there is not such a practice to populate hunting fields with farm grown partrides.

In our hunting areas we only have wild animals, with the possibility of also meeting snipes. This is why the daily quantity of animals is not big, but the satisfaction is really great. Our hunting grounds are slightly hilly, especially in our own reservations in Teleorman, swarming with numerous partridges and can only be hunted in October when they mature to adults. This makes it more sporting and demanding for the hunters.

The hunting period for this species is October 15 - December 31 .

Weight of an adult bird is of 350 - 400 grams .

It is truck hunting (by foot) with retriver dogs.

The partridge hunting with retrivers is a sports, entertaining hunting, offering the hunters unforgettable moments. It is dedicated to smaller groups of hunters (3-6 persons) .
